A brown for old time sake
It has been a while since I have had time to throw down some water colors. Finally got the chance this evening, decided to paint an old brown trout just for the "heck" of it.
Phil, I have never commented on this particular trout painting, so now I will. I have always enjoyed this trout head ever since you posted it. Your choice in colors is appropriate. Just doing the head works well on this one.---Ellen
I need to add a postscript: You did paint more than just the fish head. What I actually meant was that you did not paint the whole fish. Hope this clarifies what I meant----Ellen
I love both flyfishing for trout and painting. Since a young boy fishing the beaver ponds and creeks of Utah's Uinta mountains to fishing Oregon's Cascades streams and back country lakes I have admired the beauty of trout. I am striving to capture this beauty with watercolors and share these illustrations with fellow fisherman and trout lovers. If you are interested in any of my paintings and would like to buy a limited edition print or commission a custom painting of a special catch please e-mail me at ppittsen@gmail.com
